Reset the Stretch Reflex


Stretching can improve performance in physical activities by helping your joints move thru their full range of motion. When we hold static stretches for 15, 30 or 60 seconds, they allow your connective tissue to “reset” the stretch reflex to lengthen muscle and increase flexibility. Pay attention to any resistance–do not push thru it. Relax, breathe, and honor where your body is in the here and now. Enjoy!
