When our muscles are tight, they pull on our bones and can throw our bodies out of alignment. Good range of motion is important for output because you need to access the major muscles of the low body for power as well as working thru the kinetic chain (ankle, knee, hip) to keep pressure off the joints. Some activities (like cycling) are very linear–we need to engage in other planes of motion to bring our joints thru various ranges of motion to maintain flexibility. You don’t necessarily need props, but a block and/or a strap can be handy. Enjoy! Let me know what you think.
